Description

Come and join like minded people to totally immerse yourself in a day’s sewing. Templates of hares and dragonflies will be provided, together with examples of previously made pieces to inspire. You will learn how to layer up old linens and fabrics to create a background of different textures, then transfer your chosen design and work into it. All fabrics are provided but do bring your own if you have a special bit that you would like to add. Embellishments such as snippets of lace, meaningful words, buttons and flowers, can be added to enhance and personalise your design. Hares, rabbits and dragonflies, continue to be a favourite theme of mine and keep popping up amongst the flowers and leaves- you just can’t keep those bouncy fluffy delights out! Suitable for all levels and can be made with the simplest of stitches.

Workshop cost includes all materials

Reviews

A lovely day spent in enchanting surroundings, being taught how to free up my imaginative restrictions! Julie is a warm and competent teacher, who made her fabulous stitchcraft accessible to us all. I came home with a piece of art which will happily hang on my sitting room wall. Thank you Julie, for your inspirational surroundings, your delicious refreshments and your lovely course. Great value for money.

We both enjoyed a relaxing day learning and refreshing many techniques. Both of us are determined to finish the little we have left to do and put them on display in our homes.
A well tutored course in a great workshop in a lovely setting. Julie is an excellent teacher and lovely person
Thank you for a great day
