Online Workshop- Making Stitched Cards

Click on the dates drop down menu to see the times for that workshop.

In this 3 hour workshop you will learn  how to make three delicately embroidered stitched pieces using Julie’s favourite applique method.

This workshop will be delivered virtually via the online platform Zoom so you will need to make sure that you have a suitable device and a strong wifi, you do not need to have an account to join. The day before the workshop, you will be sent workshop joining instructions. There will be a limited number of participants so you will be able to interact with other participants and the tutor throughout.  This is such a great way to learn a new skill in the comfort of your own home. At the end of the session, you will be shown many examples of other projects you could try by yourself.

For the workshop you will need: scissors, pins, normal sewing thread, a frixion pen (or other transfer pen), some double sided tape and an iron.

Prior to the workshop you will be sent a pack of materials  (for 4 cards) and preparation notes.  Please book in time for materials to be posted to you.

During the workshop, each stage will include several demonstrations. You will be shown how to create a layered foreground using snippets of fabric and dyed lace then will work on top using embroidery stitches. We will work into 3 cards as there will not be time for 4. After the workshop you will be emailed the workshop notes which will include the 4 designs so that you can complete the last one independently.

Please note- your materials may not be exactly the same as shown and once you have received the kit, there will not be the option for a refund.

If your preferred workshop date is full, please contact me via the “Get in touch ”  form HERE to register your interest for future workshops.
