Machine Embroidered Sewing Machine

Sunday 5th June, 10-4pm at the Tigley studio

Out of stock

Join Julie to learn the mystery of machine embroidery and come away at the end of the day with a beautiful finished piece, 12 x 12 inches, ready to frame.

Using a sewing machine design Julie will show you how to applique and free machine birds and flowers to add some decoration. You can choose form plain or patterned fabrics and learn how to add paint too.

Suitable for beginners, or those of you who know how to machine embroider but would like to have a fun day creating this picture.  You will need to  bring your own sewing machine and you must be able to drop the feed (or can cover the teeth with a plate) and have an embroidery foot.  Just bring yourself and your creative juices.  At the end of the day you will take away a stunning finished picture measuring just smaller than A3, so it could be mounted onto a standard box canvas or in a A3 frame.

Learn how to:

  • Drop the feed on your machine and “draw” using the thread
  • Stitch with freedom- anywhere, any direction
  • Use bondaweb to apply cut fabrics onto a background
  • Add paint successfully, without the bleed
  • Use  transfer pens
  • Learn how easy it is to create your own designs

Sewing machines are available to hire for the day- please let Julie know if you would like one.

If the date you require is full, please contact Julie on the contact page to be added to the reserve list. You may be contacted at short notice.
