If you have dabbled at machine embroidery before and want to take it a bit further, why not come and learn how to create your own stitched lampshade at the Tigley studio.
All materials are provided- background fabric, plains, patterns, organzas, and maybe a splash of paint. You will be guided by Julie every step of the way and will learn how to fill a blank space (that’s the scary bit), and how to choose effective colour combinations.
Using Julies designs to inspire you, explore how to create flowers in a stylish way. At the end of the day you will create your own lampshade which measures 20cm across, and be the envy of all your friends!
Just bring your sewing machine (make sure it does have a drop teeth facility), with a machine embroidery foot, leads and manual, dark normal sewing thread and a bucket full of enthusiasm and get ready for a fun day of creativity.
